Dolly-Parton

born on January. 19 1946, in Locust Ridge Tenn into a low-income family that would ultimately consist of 12 children Dolly Parton learned early to get away from the struggles of life through her vivid and broad imagination. Prior to learning how to write and read, Dolly Parton was creating her own songs. The first guitar she received was gifted by her mother when she was eight. The singer began her singing career at the Knoxville Tenn station by the age of eleven. Her first album was recorded in the same calendar year Gold Band Records, a small label that was an independent. Even though she became a local star while in High School, she knew her goals were greater. The singer moved to Nashville the day after graduating in 1964. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. The syndicated television show of Porter Wagoner was in need of a new singer at around this time. Parton was a part of the Grand Ole Opry 1969 after having signed in 1969 with RCA Records. The show was cancelled by Wagoner, however, in 1974 because her albums on her own like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene exceeded the sales of their joint albums. Parton wrote I Will Always Love You to Wagoner in the aftermath of their breakup. It made it to No. First time, in 1974.
